Hello,  My name is Mike Callery.  This is my chihuahua Wile E Coyote.   he is named for the cartoon character as he looks like him.     He was found abandoned and tied to a lamp post outside a petco, in northern california.  He was found by my partner Richard.   he brought him home,   in spite of our two chow chow mixes.   fantastically, they all blended and became a pack.  Wile E,  would go to the dog park and start up with all the other dogs, and wait for my chows to come rescue him.  they were his true protectors.  a year to the day after bringing him home, Richard died suddenly in his sleep.  my biggest regret in the world is that we could not marry before this happened.    since then it has been me and Wile and Chesty and Chewie the two chows.   old age caught up with them and i have lost them both in the last 2 years.    so that is the tale.
Now...  it is just Wile E and me.   3 weeks ago he hopped off the bed to chase his ball....   it is just the box spring and mattress on the floor.   but he tore something in his knee....  first guess was knee cap,  second opinion is a cruxias ligament ....  I have probably spelled that wrong.  the long and short of it is....  he needs surgery to correct it.    that is gonna cost 3 grand.   since my partners death, i have been paying off bills... and lost my credit rating.  so i cannot get a loan, and simply do not have 3 grand lying around.    this dog deserves so much more than i give him,   i am working lots of overtime,  but he needs the surgery now,   he cannot walk or run on this leg,  he is only 8 years old.   and i think he has another 10-12 years to go, and he should be able to chase and frolic.   frankly he is all i got anymore and my reason for gettin out of bed.    I am not trying to be maudlin,  just honest.   I am not thrilled about going on line to ask for help.  but the dog needs surgery now,   it could take a year or more for me to save up this much cash.
