We, along with our parents, are devastated that our sister Jennifer tragically lost her husband earlier this month. After experiencing cardiac arrest, Andrew Kessler (43) passed away 3 days later. He fought so hard to regain consciousness; his eyes fluttered open at the sound of his beloved wife’s voice as she spoke of their 2 precious daughters, Ellie who is 3 years old, and newborn Gracie Belle, 3 months old. We held fast to any signs of improvement and prayed night and day for him to wake up. It seems impossible that this healthy, strong, vibrant man was torn from his family so suddenly and inexplicably.

Andrew worked hard for his family. He turned his love of wine into a career, studying hard to achieve sommelier certification in 2015, and selling wine for Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. Andrew’s warmth, loyalty, humor, and genuine interest in and care for others were apparent to all who had the pleasure of working with him. Only days before his untimely passing, he excitedly began a new position at the Victory Wine Group, with Jenn proudly cheering him on. While Jenn has held her position as an office manager for an oil-and-gas company for many years, even working part time in the three months since baby Gracie’s birth, she now faces daunting hospital bills and other end of life costs, in a job that does not offer health insurance. Our beloved Jenn has been thrust into this unwanted and unthinkable new normal overnight. The pain of loss she feels for herself and their daughters will be present in her life forever. We readily give her the physical and emotional support that she and our nieces require and deserve. We long to ease her mind by providing her with financial assistance beyond what we can offer.
