It feels unreal waking up each day and having to face the heartbreaking reality that our baby boy, my nephew, Philip, is no longer with us. No parent should ever have to carry the weight of burying their child, but we also know that life unfolds according to a plan greater than our understanding.

His parents have always given their all when it came to raising Philip—providing, protecting, and loving him unconditionally. Philip had a light that everyone felt. His goofy personality, his “life of the party and leadership energy, and the way he loved his family made him someone you couldn’t help but be drawn to. He loved trips, laughter, and simply being surrounded by the people he loved most.

Life is full of unexpected turns, and tragically, Philip’s journey was cut short in the most unimaginable way. Some young men, filled with hatred, ambushed him and took his life right in front of his own home. Our family is shattered.

We are asking for support to help relocate my nephews family., it is no longer safe—nor emotionally healthy—for them to remain in the place where this nightmare occurred. Our goal is to get my sister and her family into a safe environment where they can begin to heal. So we are raising money for a deposit to the new home and funds for new furniture for the kids

• Immediate relocation & securing a safe place for my sister (his mom) Alexis and her family

• Emotional and practical support as they navigate this devastating loss
