My brother, Charlie Ballard, passed away on May 22, 2016 after a long battle with Stage 4 Melanoma. He was an incredible husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to all. Charlie was my oldest and dearest friend.
Charlie loved his children and raised them with his core values and common sense; he expected their best and they honor him today with their commitment, their scholastic successes and with their own loving families. Over the years Charlie coached his kid’s softball teams and volunteered in the Boy Scout organization, plus he encouraged his children to extend their talents in music and adventure (such as sky-diving!)
Charlie was a dedicated long-time employee with an established semiconductor firm and his determination to stay on the job was legendary and phenomenal. He was strong in his belief that you should always get the job done and persevere no matter what.
I would like to give respect and celebrate the life of this good man with annual scholarships given to a graduating high school senior at both Valley Christian High School and Los Gatos High School beginning next year. If possible, each annual scholarship would be $1000 each and would continue for the next five years.
