On June 4th, Scott was doing one of the things he loves most--biking on a gorgeous Saturday through Portsmouth and Rye. Unfortunately, he was seriously injured that day when he was hit by a car. His bike was broken in two, and his hip and femur were shattered. Thankfully, he was wearing his helmet, and there were no head injuries.

Scott underwent surgery to repair his hip and femur, but because the break was so extensive, getting back to his active lifestyle is going to be long and difficult road.

As you may know, Scott is a plumber who obviously needs a limber body to work. We are seeking any big or small offerings of support to help get this wonderful family through the next few months, so Scott and Patty can focus on rehabilitation and recovery. Money collected will be used for medical bills and general household bills during this time when Scott will be unable to work.

Scott and Patty were very hesitant when told a gofundme page was being set up to help them out. They are such proud, hard-working people who would never ask for help themselves. So I'm doing it for them. : ) I know for a fact that Scott has given huge discounts or done plumbing work for free when there were people who needed it. No questions asked. I know that Patty has provided meals for families for months when they were in need. These are the people you want to have in your community. They are the people who have your back when you need them. Now it's our turn to be there for them. Join me in sending them love, support, prayers and whatever you can afford to give to make the next few months a little less stressful.
