I'm trying to help my partner, Peter Bettes, deal with his severe health issues.  He is 68 and was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia (CLL) in November 2015. He has completed his 2nd round of treatments in hospital this year. and will need 3-4 treatments per year. He struggles with severe headaches, chronic exhaustion & irritable bowel symptoms.  He has battled with immune system problems since being diagnosed as a Coeliac in 2000, and has a rheumatoid condition called Vasculitis. This is now 15 years of illness.  

Pete has always put others before himself, but now he needs the help.  

We have been  running our own small business in sales and service since 2013, but his illness means he no longer has the stamina or general fitness needed.  He can no longer work, and so we need to wind up the business, settle with our creditors, and pay for medical out of pocket expenses which are mounting, so he can get back some quality of life.  

I need to get him out from under the financial burden he is under as a result of his deteriorated health

He deserves it.  He is the most honourable, kindest, most considerate, gentlest man I have ever known.  He is the first to help others, and despite his own problems, is always ready with a smile, laugh or a hug.

We really need these funds as soon as we can as all creditors, both business and personal are being extremely patient, but we would like to shut down the business by end of September 2016.  The worry is dragging Pete down. 

I know that settling the financial situation with the business, will remove a huge stress from his life, and take away the fear he feels with so much happening to him right now.  He feels swamped with the burden of illness and money worries. 

I haven't told Pete I am doing this, as I would love to surprise him with the result.  I know there are people out there who would like the chance to help someone who has always helped others, so please, will you make a donation to help one of nature's truly special persons.
