**With permission from both parents, Jason Shura and Kelly Shura, I have started this account to help my 9yr old daughter, Savanna, fulfill her goal to raise as much money as possible by her 10th birthday party on July 30th, 2016 for a local schoolmate, recently dx with and aggressive brain cancer. Savanna has requested that in lieu of gifts at her party, all that attend bring a monetary donation for Maddie. While she is hoping to raise at least $300, I have faith we can go above and beyond. I am asking all who read this, whether it be $1 or $100, PLEASE, #matchherkindness. <3
Here is my original FB post: Savanna has always showed empathy and kindness for others since she was very young. As she is growing and maturing her heart focuses on autism awareness, and donations for cancer research, any cancer, but especially pediatric cancer. We cannot pass up a donation at the grocery store, store front, etc. At only (almost) 10yrs old, the world truly is a better place because of her. She is amazing, for many reasons. While I try and cherish ever moment and keep her little, I can't wait to see what she will become. What God has in store for her future. How she will continue to make a difference. This past week has been hard for her, finding out a fellow school mate, younger than her, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor. She is blessed to be in a school where prayer and support and emotions are encouraged. She cries during prayers and chokes up at the thought of someone so young suffering. Her eyes fill with happy tears because she feels the emotion of a small town coming together to support a family in crisis. A family in need of positive encouragement, strength, and faith.
She's never met Maddie, has maybe seen her around at school without knowledge of who she was. But now she has made it a point to smile when she sees her, look to see how she is feeling, pray for God to heal her. And this afternoon as we get home from work/school she says to me, "I know what I want to do for my birthday. I want to ask people to bring money to donate to Maddie instead of bringing me gifts. I want to help her live, help buy her medicine, whatever she can use the money for." And as a mother of a healthy little girl, being so unselfish for another mother's sick baby, my heart broke into a million pieces and grew bigger than ever before, all at once. All that she asks is that she personally gets to deliver her the donations.
On behalf of Savanna, I would like to extend this invitation to anyone willing to donate. I can collect the money around her birthday, the end of July. I've never done anything like this, so maybe a go fund me would be safer? I'm not sure. But anyone willing to match her kindness, please let me know.

*Madison (Maddie) Shura, a fun loving 7 year old, was just diagnosed with an aggresive brain tumor in her brain stem known as Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG)
*From Maddie's mom, Kelly- Our eldest daughter, Madison, had been having double vision over the last few weeks and long story short, this morning she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor in her brain stem that is suspected to be a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). This has a poor prognosis, but we are choosing to have a positive outlook. We are beginning radiation next week and then likely pursue further treatment from there.
At this point in time, we are asking for those that believe in the power of prayer please pray with all that you have. We believe in miracles!
*There are MANY fundraisers being held currently to help raise money for travel expenses, uncovered medical expenses, loss of wages, electronics etc to help keep Maddie occupied while traveling 4+hrs, both ways (every day, M-F) for radiation treatment, and anything else the family needs to allow them to do all they can to care for Maddie and keep her comfortable.
