Help Us Keep the Shelter Running
We are running this fundraiser to cover the everyday operational costs of our shelter. Due to severe inflation in Pakistan, local donations are now at an all-time low, leaving small organisations like ours struggling to survive.
Todd’s Welfare Society (TWS) is a small rescue organisation working across Punjab, and we urgently need a minimum of £5,000 just to meet our basic running costs.
What These Funds Will Cover
Your donations will help us provide:
* Veterinary treatment and surgeries
* Medicines and medical supplies
* Food for rescued animals
* Spay and neuter procedures
At present, our veterinary clinic is under immense pressure, with rescues suffering from fractured limbs, severe mange, and urgent surgical needs.
Permanent Residents and Foster Care
Many of the animals at our sanctuary are too vulnerable to survive on the streets. These permanent residents depend entirely on us for safety, warmth, and daily care.
At times, when our shelter is full, we must rely on private veterinary clinics, which adds to our expenses. For out of hours emergency cases we rely on private clinics as our own clinic is not open 24/7. We need funds to pay those costs as well
Daily Rescues and Rising Costs
Every single day, our rescue team travels across the city to save dogs at risk of being shot or poisoned, resulting in very high fuel costs. We have two vehicles running day and night to respond to emergencies involving injured and abused animals.
Winter brings additional challenges. We must:
* Purchase blankets and sweaters
* Provide extra, nourishing meals
* Replace straw bedding daily
* Run heaters to keep the shelter warm
In addition, we need funds to cover rent, utility bills, and staff wages, as our dedicated workforce is essential to rescuing and treating these animals.
What This Fundraiser Does Not Cover
Please note that this fundraiser does not include out-of-city rescues or rehoming costs, as those expenses vary depending on location and circumstances.
Why We Need You
Our work never stops. Even when donations reached an all-time low, we continued rescuing animals because we simply could not leave them to suffer and die on the streets.
Your support gives these animals a chance to live with love, safety, and dignity.
My name is Romana Bhatti, and I am the Vice-Chair of Todd’s Welfare Society (TWS), a registered non-profit organisation founded in Lahore, Pakistan, in 2016. I am currently based in the U.K., where I raise funds to support our rescue work in Pakistan
The suffering of street animals in Lahore, the city where I grew up has always broken my heart. With no animal welfare laws or government support, countless dogs and cats are left injured, starving, and abused. TWS was created to rescue, treat, shelter, and advocate for these helpless animals.
We receive no government funding whatsoever and rely entirely on donations from our supporters. We are officially audited, and our financial statements are available on our website or upon request.
