Rebuilding St. Elizabeth ❤️

Santa Crus, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, were among the hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa. In just a few hours, the storm tore through these small hillside communities — ripping off roofs, flooding homes, and leaving families struggling to protect what’s left.

While national and international aid often focuses first on major cities and tourist areas, smaller rural communities like these are too often left waiting. Many families are now living under tarps or makeshift coverings, uncertain when real help will arrive.

This fundraiser was created to get direct help where it’s needed most. Every dollar raised will go toward:

Purchasing roofing materials (zinc sheets, lumber, nails, waterproofing)

Paying local tradespeople and builders within the community

❤️ Supporting families whose homes have been damaged or left roofless

All funds will be distributed through trusted local contacts in the Content and Paradise communities to ensure that materials and repairs reach affected households directly — not through large organizations or middlemen.

My name is Richard Stephenson, CEO of SBA Transport, and I’m originally from Jamaica. I still have loved ones living in these very communities who have been deeply affected by this hurricane. Through partnerships with friends and trusted community members on the ground, I’m helping coordinate this effort to get families the resources they desperately need — quickly and transparently.

I’m joined in this effort by 2THEMAX Handyman Service, Gammon Auto, and other local companies based in Florida who are coming together to lend their support. Together, we’re uniting our networks to bring immediate relief and hope directly to those who’ve lost so much.
