3 month old Danielle’s open heart surgery

Hello everyone, my name is Graham. I am raising money on behalf of Danielle’s parents, Corey and Alisha Mouat, who are my close friends. Danielle Lynn Mouat was born on September 13, 2020 without any noticeable health complications. She was a happy little girl that loved to sleep and eat but doctors quickly noticed that she was not gaining weight and was falling off the growth charts. After an additional work up, an echocardiogram revealed several heart defects that required immediate surgical intervention by a pediatric cardiologist. This required travel from Boise to the surgeon’s location in Las Vegas. On December 2, 2020, Danielle underwent a 6 hour open heart surgery to fix the 3 different heart defects, including an atrial septal defect, ventricular septal defect, and coarctation of the aorta. As I am writing this on the morning of December 5, 2020, Danielle is still intubated in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit, due to still having fluid in her lungs. The exact length of her hospital stay remains unknown at this time. As you can imagine, this has been so emotionally difficult on the parents, my dear friends. The cost of the surgery and hospital stay is a big concern. I want to try to help alleviate some of the financial burden. All proceeds will go to the parents to assist in travel expenses to see the specialized cardiologist in Las Vegas. Funds will also be used to assist in medical and surgical expenses, including the invasive surgery and extensive hospital stay. Every dollar helps.
