Tim Nichols' New Kidney Fund
Many of you know that my brother, Tim Nichols needs a kidney transplant. Thankfully he has cleared every hurdle health-wise and has been placed on the donor list. We are anxiously awaiting a match.
Unfortunately the costs involved in this life saving surgery can be prohibitive. After being laid off in 2009 Tim took his job security into his own hands and opened Westsound Auctions & Estate services. He doesn't have an employer to pay sick leave and no way to cover his salary and other expenses while he is not able to work. Bills must be paid even when there is no income. He and Nanette currently have two of their granddaughters living with them with no outside support and heavy ongoing legal expenses.
Aftercare requirements mandate renting an apartment in Seattle for his first six weeks postop; in effect he will be forced to maintain two residences during that critical time The required medicines are very expensive.. The Auction House must remain open or he will have no work when he does get better.
Tim has always been a giver. He actively raises funds for others in need and supports local foodbanks and other charities. Many a friend and stranger have been helped through special auctions and fundraising events. He is not comfortable asking for money for himself and actually isn't very comfortable even having anyone do so on his behalf. But I'm his sister and I'm going to ask anyway.
Please help my brother if you can. We will be forever grateful to all of you.
