Christina needs medical treatment for a brain mass that was discovered when she suddenly fell ill a few days ago on her first day of work teaching English abroad in South Korea. She is currently still in South Korea and we are working to get her home to the US where she can undergo surgery or radiation or other treatment and have a full recovery at home. We are asking for support for her medical expenses in Korea, hiring a medical translator and hospital escort, travel expenses including a flight back to the US with a medical escort, and additional expenses for treatment in the US.
Any help is greatly appreciated while we are facing this uncertain situation and we are truly grateful for everyone who is stepping in to offer love and support in all forms. I’d like to specifically highlight Frank, who has been by Christina’s side in Korea to get her groceries and take her to the hospital. Brian who has been checking in on her in Korea along with her other coworkers at her school. My mom, Rachelle, who has been working with the embassy to get her brought home safely and quickly. My aunt, Kelly, who has been working to get Christina’s return prepped at a Swedish Medical Hospital in Seattle, WA. And thank you to everyone else not listed for all your support.
Christina is an inspiration to us all, following her passions and goals in life. We are hoping treatment will enable her to recover and return to her passion of teaching English abroad.
We are so proud of you, Christina.
Love,
Your sister, Elisha
