Help Ashton on his road to recovery

Donation protected
We are reaching out to our friends and family for help with Ashton’s road to recovery. We would like to thank everyone who has reached out to us, prayed for us and/or dropped care packages off. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. On November 19th Ashton was a victim of a gun shot wound in his left shoulder. The bullet went thru his neck; going thru his vocal cords, esophagus and getting stuck at his curated artery. He was air vac’d to a different hospital for surgery. They had to do an immediate tracheostomy while removing bullet/repairing injuries. He has been making tremendous improvements and is stable. He underwent a 2nd surgery and placed an NG feeding tube in to help with his nutrition. His leak in his esophagus has healed, but when testing his improvements on a swallow test; it was found that he is aspirating into his lungs. This discovery has caused his feeding tube to not be removed for discharge. As we are working with the hospital on getting Ashton home, we were informed that his feed/ “formula” for his NG tube feeding is roughly $2,300 a month and is not covered by our insurance. We are asking for help to cover these upfront costs in getting Ashton home and continuing his long road to recovery.
