With a lot of pain in my chest I say that Lina a beloved mother, daughter, sister, wife and a great soul has passed. Line was tested positive for COVID and with a severe cough ended up being hospitalized on October -29th. She had developed a lung infection and then Pneumonia. Doctors were treating here and things looked like they were going good. Linas brother Marcelo who lives in Brasil was also tested positive for COVID . Lina and Marcelo were extremely close. Marcelo was hospitalized and intubated passed away on November 11th. Lina still at the hospital found out about Marcelo and started getting worst herself . She was Intubated on November 14th (3pm). On Sunday morning we receive a call from the hospital saying things weren’t looking good and that they fears she wouldn’t make passed the next 2-3 days. We started praying everyday more for God to intervene . 3 days passed and Lina was still there fighting . Days passed and her situation fluctuated from good to bad to good. A few procedures were done to help in her recovery . Things started to change . Her body started to fight harder and things were headed in the right direction. Doctors called said that they were going to start lowering sedation slowly and there was talk of what was next . That was to have Lina be transferred to a rehab facility once she was out of intubation . We were excited as ever because being told that she wouldn’t make past 2-3 days and we are here 2 weeks later talking about the next steps to her recovery. On Tuesday December first at approx 5:45 am we get a call from the hospital saying line took a turn for the worst and that they believed this was the end of the road. Doctors said we could go into the hospital and say goodbye. Unfortunately with the hospital COVID rules only one person was able to go up. We had 15 min and were asked to leave . We leave the hospital and get the call 2 min later that her heart has stopped. They used the paddles and she was back. Heart kicking like a champ . We continue driving gone as there wasn’t anything we could do . The 15-20 drive home was tense but we had faith that the fight want over. Unfortunately 5 minutes after being gone the Hospital called again saying her heart stopped once more and they tried to revive her many times but were unsuccessful . We will forever be grateful for all the great memories Lina has left us. Her amazing soul and personality . That smile that could light a room . Just a completely amazing soul. Rest Easy. You and Marcelo watch over us and we will watch over Granda who is hurting with the loss of 2 out of 3 children . All prayer & donations will be highly appreciated . . No dia 14 foi entubada e hoje dia 1 de dezembro ela foi se juntar a Deus na glória . Lina uma mulher sorridente e carinhosa cheio de alegria . Um sorriso q te fazia se alegrar também. Vai deixar muita saudades em muita gente. Suas duas filhas e o marido e também sua mãe no Brasil . Pedimos ajuda para q nesse momento tão difícil podemos fazer a funerária dela do jeito q ela gostaria.
