My name is Poe, but you may know me as "The Most Handsomest Kitteh on Twitter." My hobbies include chasing the laser pointer, lounging on clean laundry, and polluting the litter box at the most inopportune moments. My mama loves me so much and I have outlasted a couple of her husbands, a boyfriend or two, a crazed stalker, and a lady who used to wink at her at the dry cleaning place (though I suspect she just had a nervous tic.) Anyway, one day she noticed my whole big tummy was purple and lumpy (well...lumpier than usual...and in a different way.) I've been to the vet 3 times now, and they say I'm bleeding somewhere, am anemic, and have no platelets. (I was disappointed to find out a platelet is not, in fact, a tiny plate of food...harrumph) I'm 11 years young, and 2 of my sister kittehs are a little older, so lately we've all needed vet visits. My mama lost her job during covid, and she was still going thru chemo maintenance. I don't know what "out of pocket" means but she says some colorful words when she looks at those bills. She would sell a kidney (if anyone wanted one, but, ew, cancer kidney) and has happily used up her vacation fund, but she thought maybe some nice folks might chip in towards my care, cuz I've racked up over 1k in bills already. Usually, she is the one donating to rescue groups for other kittehs, but this time she could use a little help. Thank you for helping me; I'm a very good boy, and her constant companion. Mainly because no one else can put up with her, but still...thank you.
