Ashley’s Fight!
One of Sonoma’s own….
Ashley Pound, 27, a life-long resident of Sonoma, California- has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer-Triple Negative (a very aggressive form of cancer), is now on Disability through her job at Sonoma Market, she has already endured a single mastectomy procedure and will begin her first round of chemo-therapy on June 14th, 2016.
To be so young and confronted with such an incredible challenge, she will need all the love and support of her family and friends. She is engaged to Michael Amador, they have been by each others side since they were both teenagers, Both of these relatively young individuals maintain persistent dreams of eventually sharing Parenthood together once she has completed Chemo and radiation. However, it is quite likely once chemo-therapy ensues, that these treatments can and will cause irreparable damage to her ovaries. As part of her on-going wellness plan, they have already started the process of having her eggs frozen- with hopes for a future chance of fertility.
Though still just at the onset of their up-hill battle, they have already incurred in excess of $10k
In co-payments, with more to follow as you can imagine, as they are really only just beginning the process of an aggressive and very expensive fight, against a very aggressive cancer! Any support they receive will most certainly be greatly appreciated, greatly needed and truly a blessing!
