Hi everyone my name is Michelle Goslin and I am a certified professional dog trainer and canine behaviorist. I am setting up this fundraiser for my very good friend Linda Pleva who rescued a 10+ year old pitbull because the family was going to euthanize him, Getting into the circumstances around that right now is irrelevant the bigger part of the story is that Linda saved him.Linda already rescued a deaf Doberman that was found tied abandoned to a telephone pole at a local park in Plainville Connecticut and within six months of her taking him in and starting training he also had to lose one of his front legs. Linda is a member of Desmond‘s Army, a group that fights for animal rights in the state of Connecticut most specifically for animals that are abused and neglected. Linda came to me when she first brought Callahan home because she was not positive that he was deaf, she thought he might be and also thought that was the reason he might’ve been abandoned which was indeed the case. Linda and her family had to spend a lot of time and money on medical bills and immediately he was put in training with me. Callahan has completed basic obedience he’s done advanced obedience intermediate obedience and is a deaf dog on three legs that has been successfully put into the daycare pack so he goes and plays with all of the other dogs. Buddy Had just started training in our group obedience class where we train at The Woof Pack in Bristol and then he got sick. Buddy has been unable to eat for probably over a week now, is at Piper Olsen vet in Middletown and needs to have exploratory surgery due to a partial blockage, they need to discover if it’s something he ate and can be removed or if he has a mass. The estimated cost anywhere between $5000 and $7000!!! We need to try and save Buddy not only for Linda and everything that she’s been through to try and save him but, for Callahan. He has only had his brother for a few months and losing him now would be horrible, Buddy has become Callahan’s ears, please anything you can give to help with the vet bills for this surgery and Buddy’s recovery. The circumstances around the entire year COVID-19 everything that’s happening does not escape us during this but so much time and effort and love have been put into both of these beautiful dogs and to have to go through this now right around the holidays when you’ve already spent almost everything you have trying to keep both of your for babies healthy anything we can do to help will be nothing short of a Christmas miracle!
