Although she would never in a million years ask, my friend and co-worker is in desperate financial help. Kimberly is the Assistant Director of my pre-school, Children's Chalet. Over the past several years her family has been through some very, very hard times. Just over the past year her husband has been out of work due to an injury sustained during his second week working this new job. This happened after he was already out of work for about six months. He has had I believe three surgeries due to that incident, which has left him with permanent damage to his right hand. Oh, I didn't mention that he is a machinist and needs full use of both hands to perform his job. I just found out tonight from Kim that he fell at home while letting the dog out and after being taken to the hospital by ambulance, now has a spiral fracture to his right leg. He has no insurance and they have medical bills from the past five or so years that have been pilling up. He will now need surgery once again and there is no telling how long this recovery will be. For any of you that know Kimberly and her family, you know that she will do anything to help someone in need. She always puts others first and is one of the most selfless people I know. She has worked for me for 19 years now and has been my families support through so many unimaginable tragedies. I can truly say without a doubt that we wouldn't have made it through all we have without her support and love. I am asking anyone to please donate anything you can to try and help relieve just some of the financial burden this family is enduring. Kimberly has always worked at least two jobs since I've known her and many time three at once. She is not the kind of person to ask for anything! This woman comes to work everyday with a smile and a positive attitude. I don't know where she gets her strength from but I do my best to try and follow her positive outlook. I'm sad to say that most times when my family is going through difficult times (and we have had many) I failed to find that faith and positivity. Please donate anything you are able to and share this with your friends and family. Anything you can spare will help with some of the financial burden they are enduring. The couple of things I mentioned about her husband are only the tip of the iceberg when speaking about the tragic times they have had over these past years.
