Cormac’s Top Surgery

Hi, my name is Cormac O'Connell and my pronouns are they/them and he/him. I will be having FTM Top Surgery on July 3rd, 2023. I am asking for donations for my surgery because it is not covered under my insurance. The procedure that I will be undergoing is called a double

 mastectomy. It is the removal of both breasts and then I also will be getting my nipples grafted back on. I struggle daily with gender dysphoria and still having a larger chest has been extremely difficult just living day by day. It is as simple as not feeling comfortable enough to use the women's bathroom because I don't identify as a woman, and not using the men's bathroom because I don't feel safe enough to yet with still having breasts. Any donation would mean the world to me no matter how small or big. I am currently a full-time student in school for massage therapy and working part-time. The surgery is going to cost a little over $11,000 accounting for all the blood work, the consultation appointment, and the surgery itself. I will need two months to fully recover as well, so that means I will not be able to work and make money during my recovery time. Having this procedure is quite literally saving my life and I finally will be living in the body I always wanted. My body will be able to match how I feel on the inside with the outside.
