Help with Cara's Hospital Bills

As many of you already know my niece Cara has been in and out of the ICU battling this new Covid related illness MIS-C. (See details below) Although Stacie and Jeremy have insurance, they have to pay $5,000 out of pocket before the insurance starts to pay and being in ICU, they will have to come up with the full $5,000. Several people have asked about helping so that is why I have started this GoFundMe. Every little bit helps, thank you.

*Update - 7:00pm on 11/24* ~ They finally gave us an official diagnoses - She has MIS-C = Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children ~ This is a new syndrome in children and teens that is associated with the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. While the syndrome is very rare, it can be dangerous and has features in common with toxic shock syndrome and an illness called Kawasaki disease, which cause inflammation of the blood vessels throughout the body. The inflammation can limit blood flow, damaging the heart, kidneys and other organs”

~ Cara is currently being given an IVIG infusion to help fight this thing.

“Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) is a therapy treatment for patients with antibody deficiencies. It is prepared from a pool of immunoglobulins (antibodies) from the plasma of thousands of healthy donors. Immunoglobulins are made by the immune system of healthy people for the purpose of fighting infections”

Let’s hope this treatment works and we can get this girl back home and back to her charismatic happy self! ❤️

*Update - 11:45pm on 11/23* ~ The doctors are running all kinds of test trying to get to the root cause of her symptoms. Tonight they did an Ultra sound on her heart and an EKG.

They gave her a dose of antibiotics and they also have her on oxygen. She’s resting now while we wait for results. Continue to pray that we find the answers and can heal her!
