I was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma, a rare type of cancer that is located in my breast on May 17th.
This diagnosis came two days before our scheduled family trip to Hawaii, but the doctors convinced me I could still go because I would have to work hard when we got back. I have started our treatment plan by having my port surgery yesterday and am doing well. We are also working with a fertility specialist to save and freeze my eggs because the chemo and radiation puts me at risk for infertility later on. In addition to fertility treatment, chemo, radiation, I will also most likely have to have a masectomy of one or both breasts.
At the age of 27 I cannot believe I am facing such a challenge, I will get through it, but I will need lots of support! Thank you so much to everyone for all your love and support. You make me stronger!
