Autism Society Greater Long Beach/San Gabriel Valley/Orange is a volunteer run non-profit 501c3 organization founded in 1971, located in the City of Whittier. Our mission is to improve the lives of all affected by autism. We work to create a world where autistic individuals are able to maximize their quality of life, are treated with the highest level of dignity, and live in a society in which their talents and skills are valued.

The current location for our Autism Empowerment Center has been sold. We need to move by October 31, 2016. Unfortunately, we don't have money in our budget for the moving expenses and/or time to find a new permanent location. We have found a temporary solution, but we need to raise $5,000 to make the transition.
Our Autism Empowerment Center provides a safe and accepting place for Autistic individuals to develop friendships, increase their self-esteem, learn skills that will help them succeed in their communities and have fun with their peers.
All of the services we provide are free. We have a Gamers Club, Drum Circle, Robotics Class, Parent Support Group, Lending Library, Peer Group, Holiday Parties and Workshops.
It would be a huge disservice to the Autistic community if we have to close our Autism Empowerment Center until January 2017. This would feel like an eternity for several of the Autistic individuals who visit their "Club House", as kids call it. Some of the families even drive over 1 hour to attend Gamers Club for 2 hours every Friday.
Can you help us? No donation amount is too small.
