Wes and Jess's Wedding Fund
Donation protected
We know what you're thinking. "Really? A go fund me for a wedding? They are truely millenials." and you would be right. What a weird thing to do. But let us explain exactly why.
Our history started when we met in 7th grade in 2007. We then started dating on October 25th of 2010 when Wesley asked me to be his girlfriend outside of our math class. Little did we know that we would not only grow as children together, but into young adults with similar interests, passions and love for one another. We graduated highschool, colllege (with the same Culinary degree) and now work side by side in Nashville at a resturaunt.
Long story short (once a wedding site is made, there will be more "romantic" details), everything we do has been together. We have been dating for over 5 1/2 years and waited patiently until the time was right, but we feel now more than ever that it's time to officially seal the deal!
Since we have been with eachother for so long, there has honestly been so many people that have really seen and helped us grow as individuals and togther.
We have always been pretty responsible with our money and bothvstarted working at age 14, and this month God has blessed us with the oppertunity to purchase a house to live in for our future live togther. With that being said, there will not be any money left to have a celebration like we want to with all of you.
We both believe that people, relationships and experiences are far more valuable to us than items (and we have been blessed with so much we aren't really in need of anything.) So INSTEAD of a registry and fancy gadgets, we just would LOVE if you guys would donate what you can so we can celebrate with the people who helped make us who we are today! It would mean so much to us for everyone to be there, but we can simply not pull it off alone.
One of the awesome things about this is that we can see who donates and although we already have an idea of the guest list, this will help us make sure everyone is included.
We are doing everything as thirfty as we can. We have had an overwhelming amount of people already volunteer their time to help us with things like making our decorations all the way to doing the food and even making our clothes by hand!
There's lots to do in the next (roughly) 4 1/2 months, but where there is a will, there is a way. We are hoping to get married in October. We may not reach our finacial goal, but what we do reach, will be so appreciated. Even if there is only one or two people that show up to celebrate with us, it will, without a doubt, be one of the happiest days of our lives.
