Eye support Kizliar
Donation protected
Hey friends, my partner and I could use your help. Our AkhalTeke brood mare Kizliar was hurt over this past weekend sustaining a head injury with a serious eye wound. We worked with Garrison Veterinary hospital who helped immediately with antibiotics and eye treatment but didn’t have the facility/capacity to address the seriousness of her wound. We are moving her to Horner Equine Center to receive care over the next several weeks to aggressively treat her injuries in hopes to save her eye. We are incredibly grateful for your support as she is the mother, grandmother and great grand dam to many of this rare breed in the United States.
There are about 400-500 purebreds Akhal Tekes in US. ATAA VNIIK registered, this mother and herd are possibly the only ones in ND. My late brothers dream to have a herd that champions the breed in racing and NDN relay is in motion and it pains us to make this ask of our friends. We need your help. If we can cover the costs of care for her we are incredibly hopeful that her eye can be saved, and she will be back to 100%
This page is raising funds to help cover expenses related to the medical care, travel, handling and board for Kizliar to receive treatment of these injuries.
In the photo Kizliar has hay in her mouth. The mare herd was watching my partner bring back a tarp that had blow away.
Thank you.
