On May 20th 2016, Tripp Nichols passed away after fighting a long  and difficult battle with brain cancer.
Tripp was a devoted husband to his wife Melinda and a loving father to their four kids, Nick, Zach, Grace and Katie. 

I came to know Tripp through working with Melinda. Tripp was a mountain of a man with what I found to be the heart and soul of a teddy bear. Since Melinda and I also sing together at church, I often saw Tripp on Sundays, sitting in a pew, beaming with pride as his wife shared her musical gifts with the congregation.

Tripp spent countless hours with his children, patiently coaching them in athletic endeavors, helping with homework, and just being there when they needed him. The day before Tripp passed, I had the opportunity to spend time with his son Zach as I drove him to the Hospice Center to be with his Dad in his final hours. To make conversation (as guys do), we proceeded to talk about baseball. When we hit a pause in the conversation Zach said " You know, one of the best memories of my childhood was practicing baseball with my Dad." I'll never forget that, as it spoke volumes to the kind of warm, patient man Tripp was.

His kids' education was another top priority for Tripp. His life was centered around his kids and his hope was that they all have the resources necessary to attend and finish college. That dream is what this GFM page is all about. Anything you can contribute to help make Tripp's dream a reality, and relieve some of the financial stress that invariably comes along with the this type of loss will be greatly appreciated.
