Kelli is a wife and mother, and until recently she worked hard, paid every bill on time, and never imagined needing to ask for help like this.
She was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive appendix cancer called Goblet Cell Adenocarcinoma. Recent surgery revealed that the cancer had already spread. She has undergone three major surgeries, is currently in chemotherapy treatment in preparation for "the mother of all surgeries." In late June, early July the plan is to do a diagnostic laparoscopy with consent to go straight to HIPEC, an 8 to 12 hour surgery, in effort to remove all visible and microscopic disease.
Many cancer assistance programs only provide help once chemotherapy begins or target well known cancer fighters. Round one of Chemotherapy just started and we are looking for foundations that are available to apply to. Given the rarity of Goblet Cell, there are not many foundations available.
Right now, donations will go directly toward everyday survival costs:
• utilities
• car payments so she can get to medical appointments
• groceries
• basic household bills
This fund will also help cover co-pays as she progresses into future treatments.
Asking for help like this is incredibly humbling, but right now it is necessary. Any support — donating or sharing — truly helps more than she can express.
