Daddy’s Departure to Heaven

Today, God came and took my Daddy to Heaven. I’d be lying if I said he hasn’t been preparing me for this day for many years. I’d also be lying if I said I wasn’t heartbroken. My Dad, Gregory F. Dilegame, ( or as he preferred to be called “Don Gregorio Dilegame “ ) was, is, and always will be the closest person to me in this world. We had a bond that was beyond anything you can imagine. We had a psychic connection for sure. I spoke to him EVERY DAY, usually 2-3x a day and I am so grateful I did for a million reasons. We talked about everything, including difficult conversations I didn’t necessarily want to have. He made me listen. My Father was truly the definition of a great man. My Dad had a brilliant, beautiful mind. Always instilling us with his wisdom. Daddy always saw the good in people, was the first one to offer his help, and had a huge heart with a kind soul. He was fiercely loyal, & loved with all of his being. He was a great friend and confidant to all that knew him. Daddy was a God loving man, and respected and appreciated all the beauty in this world. I learned so many important morals, values, and life lessons from him. He really was the best teacher. My core values, learned from my Dad are: LOVE TRUST HONOR RESPECT & LOYALTY. He love me with all of his being, as I love him. He always told me that I am his Hero, but he is Mine. Daddy is the ONLY person in this world that has NEVER turned his back on me. EVER. And...He was always there for me, with open arms. I told him repeatedly that if every Daddy was like him, this world would be so beautiful. In order to Honor Daddy with a proper departure to Heaven, I have to ask for some help, which is hard to do. If you can help in anyway, all donations are appreciated beyond measure. All donations will be going to the cost of Daddy’s Funeral. I can’t thank all of you enough for all of your love, prayers and support.
