New car for the Burgess family
Hello to everyone who knows Teigan’s story and to those who are new here. Teigan Sarah Burgess was born on 11/20 in the Winnie Palmer Children’s Hospital at 25 weeks old and just 2 lbs 2 oz. The doctors project she’ll be staying in the hospital until late February, and mom and dad will be her only visitors due to Covid-19 concerns.
Teigan is a fighter. Both her and her mother are healthy and she is progressing well taking it one day at a time - just like all of us. Her mom and dad are both by her side as much as possible and her big sister, Harper, can’t wait to meet her in a few months.
Many of you have asked how you can help the family, so I decided to start this GoFundMe for them. The main stress on their minds right now is transportation and it seems to me like the best place to help until we know more. Over the next few months there will be many trips to and from the hospital, about a two hour round trip. Unfortunately, Matt and Kaela were looking to replace their cars before this unexpected and amazing surprise and that need is still a reality. The most pressing is Matt’s vehicle. With Kaela unable to drive for the next 6 weeks, Matt will be baby shuttle service while - fingers crossed - teaching virtual school full time.
The hope is for a certified pre-owned car that will fit the family’s needs. They have asked that an amount not be listed on this fundraiser but in order to submit it, one needed to be. Any amount donated is more than enough and the support we’ve already received means more than you all know. Whether this turns into a few car payments, gas money for trips or a down payment on a vehicle - Teigan, Harper, Kaela and Matt will appreciate it, and need it, all the same.
A CaringBridge Site was created for Teigan. It‘s a caring social network to help people stay connected with family and friends during a health event. Please follow along for updates on Teigan and more.

It can’t be said enough times how thankful we all are for the love, support, prayers and thoughts the family has already received. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
