Bueso Family Home Flooded by Hurricane Iota
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my family in Honduras was one of the thousands of victims affected by hurricane IOTA that passed through on November 16th. My mother was in Honduras visiting her terminally ill father, who has since passed away.
The house in the photo was the new house built after their old house was burnt down by an electric failure a few years back, we did restore it back though. And ill tell you both homes are lovely.
After hurricane lota, my family lost all of our furniture, fridges, freezer, tvs, 6 beds and all their clothes. Right now they are doing their best to clean up all the mud off their clothes to be able to wear something the next day.
I'm going to post what my mom wrote on Facebook here.
My sister Erika Bueso's house was completely flooded during Hurricane Iota. She pretty much lost everything inside the house. We were able to get out just in time. Her house was submerged under 5 feet of water. Yesterday we started cleaning up whatever was salvageable, but it's really hard to remove the mud. Specially when it's still raining and we are without electricity and without water at the moment and have been for a couple days now. She's the most giving person I know. Always helping others but now it's time we all help her when she needs us the most.
Thankfully no one we know lost their lives and even all of the livestock was saved too. So we are extremely grateful for anything you all can donate. We will use anything you can give to spend for cleaning, restoring, and replacing.
