I have created this gofundme account on behalf of a great family friend. Her name is Sue Vespremi. She has been around the aquatics community as long as I have been teaching. She has raised three amazing kids, as a single parent, and I had the great opportunity to coach each one of them as they came through La Jolla High School. Her kids all swam with North Coast Aquatics and all three played a part in helping our swim teams and water polo teams perform at a very high level. Bothher daughter Alex and her son Miko were part of swim teams that were CIF Champions. Alex is back at LJHS now working withh special needs students at the high school. Sue has always been an incredible support to our aquatics programs, in the community of La Jolla, and at La Jolla High. Now it is our chance to help Sue!
Sue has sirrhosis of the liver, not from anything alcohol related, but from sclerosis of the liver secondary to ulcerative colitis. She is currently on the liver transplant list at Scripps Greene. She has been in and out of the hospital multiple times over the last six months due to the sirrhosis and a host of other health issues that are a result of her liver beginning to fail. She has been living off of disibility for the last six months since she is unable to work. She only gets $1,200 a month from disibility and, with her hospital bills piling up, she is on the verge of losing her home in Clairemont. If she cannot come up with her house payment by June 20, the bank will begin forclosure proceedings. If she can make the minimum payment of $2,000 by June 20, the bank will work with her on a loan modification.
Please help me by doing what you can immediately to help Sue out and let's see if we can't stave off the bank and help her keep her humble home so that she has somewhere comfortable to wait and, hopefuly, recover from getting a liver transplant. Any amount you can contribute would be a huge help to Sue and her children. Thank you! Coach Atwell
