My name is Vanessa Soza. My dear aunt, Maritza Yvette Soza Alvarez, passed away May 11th, 2016 after many years of complications with her health. Our family has suffered a great deal, not just with her passing, but with struggling to come up with enough money to bury her ashes (as she did not have any life insurance due to financial hardship) and to help support her three surviving children, Patricia, J.J. and Klarissa, through this extremely difficult time.
The money will be allocated to the kids, to be used in any way they need with housing, food, bills, and just life costs in general.
Even if we fail to raise the full, projected amount, anything helps and I'm grateful for any and all efforts to give a helping hand. There's nothing worse than having to worry about financials when you're trying to grieve the loss of a loved one.
Tía Maritza loved her kids more than anything. She was one of the sweetest, kindest, most caring people I've ever known in my life. She was the kind of person who'd give you the clothes on her back, even if it meant she'd be left without any. She'd be very humbled if she knew of the efforts being taken to support her kids in her absence.
Simply put, her death has left an empty space in all of our hearts. Without her, we are all at a loss, but no one is suffering more than her children. So please, consider donating anything you can spare. Our family will be eternally indebted to your kindness and generosity.
Tía Maritza, wherever you are, we love you and miss you so very much. You're gone but never forgotten. In our hearts you will live forever.
