On November 10, 2020 Anna was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a cancer that is localized in her pelvis.  As of now, both the CT scan of her lungs and bone scan are clear, so there is no sign that the cancer has metastasized anywhere else in her body (LOUD CHEERING)!!  Removal of the tumor is not possible due to its location in her body, so the next steps for treatment include high dose chemotherapy, followed by radiation therapy over the course of the next several months.  Anna was admitted to the Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health for her initial round of chemo today, November 20, 2020.

Suffice to say, this will be a long and difficult journey, with many medical expenses and long stretches of time when Anna will be unable to teach yoga due to her treatment regimen.
