A few years ago I was lucky enough to attend and present at the World History Association's annual conference in New Mexico, and I'm finally going back!  I have been accepted to present in Ghent, Belgium in July and am looking forward to seeing many members and friends as well as peers again.

Conference participation is an academic requirement at most schools and my current institution, American Military University is no different.  Though the cost of conferences is high; airfare, hotels, registration fees, food etc.  AMU was able to offer me some funding but not enough to cover the entire trip.  So I decided to reach out to my community, family and friends to see if anyone had any small ability to send me to Europe!

I have always appreciated my friends and family's support of my academic journey and teaching career.  This represents not just an academic opportunity, but a chance to broaden my personal horizons by visiting Europe!  

Even a little bit helps, and I'll personally thank you during my conference presentation.  ;)
