I am fundraising for the Florez Family. Angelee Florez, age 5, is the daughter of Samuel and Dalia Florez. Angelee has been diagnosed with High-Grade Glioma (malignant/cancer), according to a biopsy performed on July 8, 2021 at Cook Children’s Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas. This is likely a Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM, also called a WHO grade 4 astrocytoma). The cause is unknown and is unresectable (cannot be surgically removed). The standard ‘treatment’ is radiation therapy. Chemotherapy of any type has never proven helpful. On July 21, 2021, the Florez Family arrived at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. Angelee is scheduled for an MRI of the Brain and Spine on Friday, July 23, 2021. Sammy Florez is a contract landman with Western Midstream Partners and is unable to work during their trip to St. Jude. At a time like this, the last thing that a parent should have to worry about is paying bills. Sammy is a dear friend of mine and I pray that some how they get through this, I just want to do my part in letting him focus on his family.
