Kim's Cancer Fund

Kim lost her battle on Wednesday morning just as the sun had come up. She is going to be horribly missed but we know she is in a better place that allows her to escape the pain she was in the last 3 weeks of her life.

She substituted for the Mansfield School District

Our very dear friend of 20 years has Bile Duct Cancer.  5 weeks ago no one had a clue that anything was wrong and we would now be facing the loss of our close friend.  It makes you realize how precious and short life is and how everything can end in a blink of an eye.  The story:  4 weeks ago Kim was having pain in her abdomen and they thought she had a Gall Bladder issue.  Her husband took her to the emergency room and they said she needed emergency Gall Bladder surgery.  In a very short time the surgeon came out with tears in his eyes to inform us that she was full of cancer and he simply closed her up.  We would come to learn over the next week that her Liver, hip bone, intestines, gall bladder and a 3 1/2" tumor all cancerous was ravaging her body.   She went home to wait for the Oncologist to form a plan as to the type of cancer and treatment.  Kim lasted only a few days when she started throwing up uncontrollably and was immediately admitted to the hospital where it was found the tumor had already grown and was pressing on the intestine blocking her ability to remove bodily waste.  within another week the cancer had almost doubled and after only 1 and 1/2 Chemo treatments and 4 weeks she has been released to her family and Hospice for the final few days at home.  She has been in tremendous pain and thank the grace of God sedated to lessen that aspect and hopefully either a miracle will take place or God will take her home quickly in a peaceful manner.  Her husband had to take a leave of absence from his work which is comission based to spend these precious times with his wife but cannot afford to purchase medicine that he needs for a painful chronic condition he suffers from.  He would never ask for help nor allow me to do this for him and his family if he knew I was so I am doing it anyway.  This wonderful, loving, giving people need help in the worst way and I pray that everyone who reads this will share it and donate something.  If everyone who reads this gives just $5 we can eliminate a huge burden off his shoulders.  I have no way to express how saddened I am by this and pray that we all will help him in this time of a terrible tragedy.  This can happen to anyone tomorrow.  PLEASE HELP!!!
