If you've ever spoken with me for more than 5 seconds, you know that animals and music are the most important things in my life.
You probably also know how much it upsets me that so many of the people I see at festivals and shows - the people who talk about "consciousness", "energy" and "vibrations" - continue to do the most violent, destructive thing we can do as individuals every day. I've always wanted to address these contradictions in a meaningful way. I've also always wanted to find a way to integrate my love of music into my life's work with animals.
To address these issues and to make my dreams come true, I've designed the first EVER vegan outreach leaflet to target this new-age hippie demographic. The leaflet contains information about the environmental and animal welfare impacts of factory farming. There are quotes from spiritual leaders and popular musicians in this scene addressing the necessity of veganism to be truly peaceful, compassionate, spiritual human beings.
I hope to prove the effectiveness of this project by handing out as many leaflets to as many people as possible at festivals and concerts. Once I have proven that this is an important and effective demographic to target with our message of compassion and kindness, I hope to get funding to continue the project long-term.
I need these funds to pay the amazing graphic designer that helped to create the leaflet and to print out as many leaflets as possible to give to festival and concert goers. I hope to table at eight festivals this summer - handing out the informative leaflets and running a "paid-per-view" (paying willing participants $1 to watch a 4 minute video of what factory farming really looks like for animals). Along with paying for the creation and printing of the leaflet, I will use these funds to pay the registration fees for booths at these festivals. I will also be sending boxes of leaflets to other activists around the country to give to attendees at Moon Hooch concerts (the band pictured on the front of the leaflet).
Your help will make my life long dream come true, and more importantly, you will be helping to protect animals and the environment by disseminating this information to the people who need it most.
