Thor is the most amazing cat you could ever know. He has had multiple homes during his lifetime, some better than others, but he continues to love all humans unconditionally. Sadly, the humans in Thor's previous home withheld medical care. They dropped him off in a crate outside the door of Cat Angels Pet Adoptions, a no-kill cat and kitten shelter in Cary, NC, with a note that said "he urinates all over the place". These humans had adopted Thor from Cat Angels over a year earlier. We were devastated to find him outside the front door where he had been left, alone, scared and suffering from a terrible urinary tract infection. With loving care from the Cat Angels volunteers, Thor was quickly returned to good health.
Last year Thor finally got adopted into a real forever home where his parents love him dearly and treat him like royalty. The lives of Thor's parents were forever changed the day they visited Cat Angels and heard these few simple words: "We would like you to meet Thor". The bond between them all was instant and Thor quickly became a beloved member of their family. Months later Thor was joined by another Cat Angels alumni, Leonard, and he and Thor soon became best buddies. It seemed as though Thor had finally reached the end of his long search for a real forever home where he could love and be loved.
Then came the worst news ever: Thor was diagnosed with a life threatening kidney disease. Even though he suffers from painful kidney stones he still remains the sweetest, most loving cat. His medical costs have already exceeded $5,000 and, with future surgery, are expected to reach $10,000 by the end of 2016. Please help Thor's parents continue to provide him with the best medical care possible. Thor believes that humans will take care of him and we cannot let him down!
