Nadine's Childrens College Fund

I first met Nadine Leavell in 1978, when she was elected the President of our 3rd grade class at Buffalo Public School #86. She was chosen President because she truly cared about everyone around her. I've had the privilege to know her in the many years since 3rd grade. As a poet, a writer, an editor and - most importantly - as a mother AND a warrior. Nadine was first diagnosed with cancer in 1985 and she has been battling her disease since we were together in 10th grade at City Honors. Sadly, after an epic and unrelenting fight, Nadine succumbed in May, 2016. Nadine is survived by her soul mate Carolyn and their two beautiful children (who are both just as wonderful and caring as Nadine was to all of us). PLEASE consider donating to the college fund set up in honor of Nadine's two young children. It's hard to get by when your  caring, loving and compassionate mom dies so young. Please consider donating to the future of these two beatiful children raised by a mom who was taken from us too soon. Imagine what Nadine would give to assist a family in a similar situation. That's why we set up this fund!
