Help Us Bring Jesse Home

Donation protected
On May 28th the world lost someone special. My brother Jesse passed away unexpectedly. Jesse was a total goofball. He enjoyed making people laugh. Jesse loved his friends, his family, cars and basketball. He was free spirited and care free but Jesse struggled with an addiction to pills. Jesse was addicted to Xanax and Opanas. On April 11th, Jesse entered a 28 day rehabilitation program at Mirror Lake Recovery. Jesse received treatment for his addiction and started to gain control of his life. At the end of his 28 days, Jesse made the decision to continue his sobriety and join a halfway house.

On May 9th, Jesse packed up his stuff and with his mom and girlfriend sending him off, he left for Lake Worth Halfway House. Lake Worth Halfway House is a sober house in Florida with a community that supports you on your way to recovery.

Jesse celebrated his 21st birthday on May 22nd completely sober. A milestone in his road to recovery. On May 27th, Jesse got a job at Rack Room Shoes in Lake Worth but he never got to attend his first day of work.

In the early hours of May 28th, Jesse passed away in his sleep. Jesse was 21 years and 6 days old. When Jesse was born he was diagnosed with a hole in his heart. Jesse had two open heart surgeries in his lifetime and through the years his heart conditioned worsened. Hours before he passed, Jesse called his mother and told her he loved her. Jesse brought so much joy to this world. He was able to make you smile no matter what you were going through and as we go through this I know he would want us to smile.

Jesse was put on this earth for many reasons. To be a son, a brother, a friend, a nephew, a grandson, a lover and a light to those around him. Jesse passed away so suddenly that we don't have the correct funds to bring him home so we can hug him one more time. We found a funeral home that is willing to work with us so we don't have to pay up front but eventually money will be due. Jesse is a part of so many of my happy memories and we appreciate any donations to help us celebrate his.

The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
