Orville Davis, musician

Donation protected
Orville earns his paycheck performing vocals while on guitar, and by doing commercial voice-overs. A throat cancer diagnosis and treatment prevents Orville doing what he does best-communicate and entertain. Our GFM campaign will supply food and basics until his health improves; we are expecting a complete recovery, although radiation is taking a toll on his ability to produce sound. Orville is the voice for RCA's Country Legends series, and the "Ultimate Alabama" greatest hits releases. He has sung Troup's "Route 66," for a blue jeans commercial; Miller's "King of the Road," for Suzuki's SUV ad campaign, and on a commercial for Subways sandwiches-to name a few. https://youtu.be/UZ6pv4OMfg8 https://youtu.be/J0CEsv3Nf2A We are urging all to dig deep. A kind donation of $20 is very much welcomed as we know this time during COVID has been very tough. Every dollar helps. Please SHARE to all who know this brilliant singer/songwriter, guitarist, horse enthusiast, and my friend. Born in Florida and raised in Alabama and Georgia, this honky-tonk-with-attitude Southern gentleman was influenced to play guitar as a youngster, through his church pastor who incorporated guitar in worship. His bass runs are heralded by many in my generation as pulsating, gritty and soulful. Playing bass during the 60s-70s with Atlanta-based Hydra with front man, Wayne Bruce, Spencer Kirkpatrick and Steve Pace, these Georgia 'bad boys' packed the room of an Atlanta club for a 2017, reunion performance, an event that was sold out within two weeks, well before the promo hit social media! Upon Hydra's dissolve in the 70s, Orville continued to perform in the US and abroad with national talent level bands. Orville made a comeback in the 90s as a country artist, and was voted best Male Singer/Songwriter of the Year by the NJ Country Music Association each year from 1996-1999. Orville has also had the pleasure to play bass in support of Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits along with playing for Mary Wells and Jerry Lee Lewis. Orville has performed bass and vocals with STARZ and REX. He also opened for Brook and Dunn. ‘The Wild Bunch’ has appeared in many East coast venues and festivals. One of his songs was included in the series Doom Patrol. https://www.tunefind.com/artist/orville-davis Orville is an avid horseman, devoted father and grandfather, brother, son, uncle and great-uncle and lives in upstate NY with his lovely Tamara. The “Grey Wolf,” Orville Davis needs our help. He always starts our day on social media with uplifting words of hope. Let's give him a leg up and help him.
