Tucker Vasil Medical Expense Fund

This is my grandson, Tucker.  His father is active duty Military in the U.S. Navy and they are stationed in Sasebo, Japan.  We welcomed this precious baby boy on April 6th.  Brittnee and Rick had to travel from Sasebo to Yokosuka Naval Hospital where Tucker was born.  Although, I am nervous about flying I made the flight with my first grandson, Jack, arriving on April 1st.

Tucker was born at 11:30pm and weighed 8lbs 8ozs and was 20 3/4 inches long.  God had provided us a perfect baby boy.  Our emotions were on a high until Friday when Tucker had his circumcision and Brittnee found him laying in blood as she picked him up.

After lab results came back, Brittnee and Rick were given 5 minutes to prepare for Tucker to be transferred to Kanagawa Children's Hospital in Yokohama, Japan.  This was the beginning of the journey this baby boy has taken his family on.  He was diagnosed with Hemophilia Type A - severe and was administered his first dose of Factor VIII at that time.

The military, Navy, and Rick's command have been very supportive throughout this life event.  They assisted in the medical evacuation of the family back to the United States.  Although, most situations with moving around in the military are stressful,  when it is done unexpectedly and in less than 4 weeks; with not much more than the clothes on their backs; their cat and dog; and a newborn baby with a serious medical condition, there was a lot of added stress. They all arrived home in Florida, May 6th.

Brittnee and Rick are starting a new life here in the United States.  They will be moving all their stuff here but will not get their shipment for at least 3 months after their pack out.  They have to purchase essentials for the baby and themselves to be able to live at Pensacola Air Naval Station, where Rick recieved his new orders to.

I would like to see them get the support they need to establish themselves here and get the things they need.  Tucker's medical care is very expensive and although they have medical insurance, they will need to travel to and from medical appointments, with lodging, transportation and gas.  Anything helps.  Thank you all for reading our story and contributing to their Go Fund Me account.
