Relief During Chemo Treatments
Donation protected
I am trying to raise money for my friend Elizabeth Flynn, to provide her with financial stability and comfort on her road to recovery while she begins heavy chemotherapy treatments for tumors that were detected after an unfortunate miscarriage. She found out she was pregnant in early January of 2015 then started bleeding very heavily, she went to the hospital and was told that she lost the baby. This was her second miscarriage with serious complications, year before this happened she had a miscarriage which resulted in having two D&Cs. The first D&C went horribly wrong and she ended up hemeraging leaving her with 5% of the blood shes supposed to have in her body. Luckily she got to the ER in time and she had another D&C to have the rest of the dead baby removed and 6 blood transfusions, luckily she ended up okay. Then a year later she found out she was pregnant again, and excited as ever because she was told there was a slim chance she would be able to have kids. She ended up in the ER again because of heavy bleeding and because she hadnt had a bowl movement in a month and a half. They told her she lost the child. Dealing with a lot of emotions she thought that was the end of her dream to be a mother. The doctors told her she had passed the baby and the healing process had began, little did she know that was not the case at all. She went in for a routine check up, and because she was still unable to go to the bathroom sense she found out she was pregnant, she was still very sick puking multiple times a day, unable to eat and function in everyday life. She found out at her check up that she had a tumor growing in her uterus that was the size of a basketball, the doctor had an ambulance rush her to Crouse hospital and she ended up staying there for 3 days. During her stay at Crouse hospital she had ANOTHER D&C to have the large tumor removed and once again warned her the chances of her being able to have a healthy pregnancy were unlikely. It turned out that her pregnancy was a molar pregnancy, which means that the sperm fertilized an empty egg which ultimately caused the cells to regenerate continuously and create a huge tumor. They removed the tumor and told her that there was a 60 percent chance that because it wasn't caught in time that the tumor had spread into other parts of her body. After many MRI's and CT scans she found out that the tumors ended up back in her uterus, spread to her lungs and she recently found out that they had moved to her brain. She has to get blood drawn every week for testing, and goes into the hospital every week for chemotherapy. Then on top of EVERYTHING else her car is broken down with engine problems and she cannot afford to get it fixed, and is behind on payments. It is VERY VERY important that she makes it to every doctors appointment, chemo appointment and blood drawing appointment to ensure that she heals and can live a great life once the tumors are gone. Shes currently not employed because of the chemo, she is sick more then shes not. Shes cleaning houses here and there when she can so that she can have some kind of income but the bills are piling up. Her phone is going to be shut off soon due to none payment, which is how her doctors keep in contact with her. She is the kind of person that would help anyone in need and has put others before herself many times, this is why I'm asking for help so we can all pool together to give her the financial help that she needs in this time of serious need. Stress alone makes it very hard to stay positive and look at the brighter sides of things. The money that is raised will go towards getting her car fixed and past & current payments to ensure she has a reliable form of transportation to her appointments, phone bill, past & current rent bills that are due , car insurance bills, and other miscellaneous bills, prescriptions, food, a wig if needed, gas to get to syracuse 3 times a week, money for parking and if we reach the goal and there is any money left over after paying everything off, it will be going to pay ahead on the things that were listed so she doesn't have to worry for a little while so that she can focus on healing and staying positive. This would be a blessing for her, and she would apprciate the help more then anything, she is on the verge of giving up because theres no way she can pay all these bills before things get cancled, or taken away. Shes having a hard time being posative because she thinks gods going to take her away from her friends, family and fur babies ( if you know lizz you know her dogs are her life) Along with her I will be very thankful for all the wonderful people willing to help get her life back in order while shes going through chemo, dealing with emotions that she doesnt know how to cope with and loosing hope. Shes one of my best friends and I would give her the world if I could but I cant do it alone! Please say a prayer for her to heal and get better so that she can live a long life and this sickness will end up being a bump in her long journy though life! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and god bless! <3 <3
