Sean's Lung Transplant Fund

Sean HIckey, was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts in 1965. He grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He began an interest in the Welding/Fabricating field, since the age of 18. He graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in 1983.  A year later, he was married to his wife Susan, and his first son Kevin was born in August. In 1997, he and Susan, had their second child,a daughter Rachel. He is an avid motorcyclist and golfer. He has always been highly involved in his work and family life. Currently working for Kleenline LLC, he has traveled the country, doing conveyor installations. In 2014, he had developed a bad cough, that would not subside. After being diagnosed with pneumonia at first, his condition began to worsen. The doctors at a local hospital, were baffled, and forwarded his case to Boston. After a lung biopsy, and another stint with pneumonia, he was then diagnosed with Intertitial Lung Disease. This condition scars the lungs permanently, and is only reversed by a bilateral lung transplant. Doctors decided to proceed with testing, to get him onto the "Transplant List". On April 6th, he was offiially on the transplant list, and within twenty days, he was called for the operation. This alone, tells you how serious his condition was, as he was called in only twenty days later. On April 27th, 2016, Sean came out of surgery with a brand new set of healthy lungs! His family is greatful for the doctors, nurses, donors, and technology that made this possible. We all now how expensive medical operations are nowadays. Especially a bilateral lung transplant. Already, he has recieved thousands of dollars in medical bills, which he will be paying the rest of his life. He is currently on fifteen different medications (down from twenty two), and needs to be on five of these medications, his entire life. Insurance only covers a fraction of the cost, so we are asking for any help, we can receive. Any little bit helps.
