This is our precious grandson. His name is Levi and after several weeks of being sick and his parents being told he had a virus, Levi was admitted to the hospital. Finally our family was given a diagnosis our sweet one year old grandson has been diagnosed with HSP. Its a rare condition that affects his white and red blood cells . this had been a life altering diagnosis because they have told us that even a common cold can end with him hospitalized for weeks. But at this point Levi's blood pressure has started running high and they have informed us that this is a sign his kidneys are in distress. As you can imagine his parents are devastated. Now it has came down to the point where they are have to worry about there jobs and being with there baby at the hospital. No parent should ever have to make that choice. Levi is a very special part of our family and we are all trying to place our faith in our lord that he will take care of our sweet angel. I know that the they all have a very long road ahead of them and will need all the help they can get. Levi will be seeing a pediatric kidney specialist at Brenner's next week and they have actually played a part in his treatment team since this all began. HSP is not curable he will need to be kept away from germs and anyone who's could possibly even have a cold. He is only a year old so u can imagine the tough road this young family is facing. I know they will be greatful for any help they receive as well as prayers for them and our precious Levi. We do know that our God is an awesome God and is in control . thank u all and God bless
