Kayla's Rising Star Funds
I'm a 17 year old inspiring artist/writer and currently a senior in high school with a 3.9 GPA. While most children grow older their career paths and desires change, my desire to become a sequential artist has never wavered but only grown stronger. I'm currently working on a comic book series, and I have been accepted into the 2016 Rising Star program at Savannah College of Art and Design. This challenging five-week program awards 10 hours of college credits to high school seniors who are ready for a university experience at SCAD. Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their portfolios. The money will be used for the Rising Star summer classes. I know that the average 17 year old would like to spend their summer hanging out with friends, while that's fine and it has its place, that isn't going to produce the results I desire in life. I know that I have what it takes to succeed, and I'm willing to give 110% of all that I have. I understand that it is going to be a challenge all the way, but it's a challenge I'm willing to take. Thank you for helping me get started on my climb up this mountain, because this portion of my dream could not be fulfilled without you, and I assure you that your contribution will not be squandered or wasted but strictly go toward this education. I personally thank you in advance for any and all contributions.
