Jackson and I moved to Houston , Texas from Cape Hatteras , North Carolina on December 30 , 2015. Moving from a two lane island with two stop lights to the 4th largest city in the United States has been quite a change! With that being said , Jackson is a hard working high school student who has been in the gifted program since grade school. Jackson wants to pursue a career in Engineering and Robotics and was fortunate to be accepted into the Energy Institute here in Houston. By graduating from this school he will have two years of both engineering and robotics under his belt. His Robotics team finished first place in the rookie division of First Robotics Competition which qualified them to compete in the World Championships. From this his team has been invited to the Robo Terra Robotics Company FRC off season competition in Beijing , China, July 29- August 4, 2016. This invitation was extended to 24 teams from 7 different countries! Each child has to pay their own airfare , the rest of the trip is provided. This is an incredible opportunity for my son and I am asking for your help to make it possible. I am a single Mom in a new city trying to give my one and only son the opportunity of a lifetime. I do not receive child support and work two jobs to try and provide him with opportunities I never had. Please help me make this a reality . Thank you for taking time to read this and any donation is immensely and humbly appreciated.
