Rosy was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in August 2020. Through God’s provision, she was referred to an oncologist at MD Anderson and was accepted as a patient. Rosy and her husband Jimmy traveled from their home in Arkansas to Houston and are blessed to stay with family during this time. Upon her initial scans, our hearts were heavy with this size of the tumor and the places it had already spread. The Lord gave us peace and comfort as we walked through those difficult and dark days. After meeting with Dr Bevers, we were given much hope. In his words “this all looks very scary to you, but it doesn’t scare us. We just need to get busy treating it.” Rosy has since has 3 chemo treatments and has undergone surgery to remove the ovarian mass and other affected tissues. She is currently in the hospital for the second time following her operation, to clear infection in the abdomen, kidneys and incision site. Along this journey, God has been faithful at each step to give us courage, peace and provide for our needs. If you feel led to help financially, these funds will go toward the costs related to Mom’s treatment, daily care supplies and continued travel back and forth to Houston from Arkansas. My desire is to remove any financial burden from my parents, related to Mom’s cancer journey. Setting up this GoFundMe would never have been my parent’s idea. They are not the kind of people to ask for financial help. Also, if you know my parents, any amount remaining after Mom’s treatment, would be passed on to bless others in need in a similar situation.
