Last May I was diagnosed with a horrible, relentless cancer, leiomyosarcoma (LMS). After a massive surgery, which hospitalized me for weeks, plus a few more hospitalizations and scans every few months, I was considered NED (no evidence of disease) until a colonoscopy earlier this week revealed more cancer from the removed polyps. CT yesterday showed more possible metastasis within my abdomen, but we're hoping instead that will turn out to be an infection, inflammation or a hematoma. The pain is excruciating. I meet with my sarcoma oncologist tomorrow. Still not clear if I now have the third cancer of my 43 years, or if this is the LMS coming back.  I'm obviously heartbroken and so is my family.
