Funeral and Burial for my grandma
Donation protected
Hi everyone. As many of you may know, we lost my grandma to COVID yesterday. My grandma went to visit her 2 kids in Mexico, my tia Lidia and my tío Gerardo. Unfortunately while in Mexico, my grandma and my tia Lidia caught this horrible virus. On 10/21/2020 we were informed that my aunt Lidia had succumbed to COVID, and my grandma was critical. Hospitals and clinics would not see her, and we only found one doctor that was kind enough to go assess her and prescribe medications. But my grandma kept declining. We knew that we had to bring her back to the States. We made lots of calls, and found an air ambulance that could bring back my grandma to Los Angeles. She made it back and was immediately placed in ICU. She fought this monster for about 2 weeks, but her body could fight no more. She left this earth and took our hearts with her. We spent over $50,000 to bring her from Mexico to the US. Praying that the care she would get here would save her life. Kaiser WLA took great care of her. I am so grateful for every single doctor, every nurse, all the team involved in her care. I know they did everything they could humanly do. But God had other plans. We were not prepared to lose her. And we spent most of our savings in hiring the air ambulance. I am asking for any help you can give us, even if it’s only $5, anything will help. I thank you in advance and God Bless you.
