We're sorry to come to you all with our hats in hand, but we've just hit a wall that we can't get over. Our sewage line between the house and the water company's main sewer line has collapsed. I didn't know that it could, but apparently the house has old pipes. So, we have no sewer service, no toilets and can't use our sinks. Because the line is broke on our side of the junction, the local water company has informed us that we have to pay for the repairs, it's not their fault. Since March, I have been out of work. Because we live in one of the poorest areas in California, I have been unable to find work, and I've tried everything from education to maintenence to being a door greeter at Walmart, and nobody is hiring. So we are squeaking by on the $65 per week unemployment, and about $1700 on SSI. That covers insurance, taxes, and some bills, but not all.
